Np3 is my performer moniker that will allow me to put the Napoleon twist on music. My twist is a combination of beatboxing, playing the violin, and rapping, either individually or altogether.
A few years ago, I came across Miri Ben-Ari, the “Hip Hop Violinist.” I was extremely impressed with how she integrated Hip Hop music while she played the violin. In the back of my mind, I thought “Man, this what I thought of as a senior in high school. It’s so cool to hear someone do something that I imagined.” While I was inspired by the sounds of the “Hip Hop Violinist,” I thought how I can top that. Well, there is not a male version of the “Hip Hop Violinist.” Who plays the violin and beatbox at the same time? Can I also rap in addition to playing the violin and beatboxing? Well, I am going to give all of it a try under the Np3 moniker.
