My OPS 571 (Operations Management) MBA class portfolio highlights a process improvement plan project for my weekly schoolwork prep and a simulation regarding the learning curve theory. In my process improvement plan project, I outlined an improvement plan for my weekly schoolwork prep based on a flowchart design, metrics (time and grades), metric data (confidence intervals, seasonal factors, control limits), process bottlenecks, and Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints. In my learning curve theory simulation, I applied the learning curve theory to a simulation involving new management at a pizzeria.
I focused my process improvement plan on my weekly schoolwork prep because of the academic hardships that I experienced in my prior class. I knew that I needed to get back on track academically in order to get my MBA.
